Naughty Kimi

We were looking for a male cat to be Whitty's spouse and our vet asked us to adopt this healthy, strong and muscular red tabby, named Kimi. It's such a love at first sight to see this cute little creature, so here we are adopted him since he was 8 month old (now 1 y.o.). Unfortunately, he doesn't get along with Whitty, since they are completely two different personalities. Whitty is such a runaway beauty, smart and a neat freak, on the contrary this guy is aggressive, a little rascal which cannot even bury his own poop on the litter box (and he feels OK with it). He loves to make fun of Whitty. He's so active and runs so fast. The room is a mess when he's around. But we love him for his cute lion-look and funny things he does due to his stupidity.

Bolon : The Ball Phyton

Our second additional is Bolon, a ball python snake which is benign and tends to be shy. We have him in more than a year now but don't ask how it feels to touch it, because I never do!

Princess Whitty

Introducing our additional family members, but I'll share each one in separate posts to keep the stories short. A couple of year ago, we adopted some rabbits (then realized that rabbit is very fragile and difficult to be taken care of) and a kitten, named Chimonk, which we bought from an irresponsible breeder in Barito St. - Jakarta and finally died of Panleukopenia.

A month later, my cousin and his wife gave away their beloved pet to us. It's Whitty, a female mixed persian-angora cat, which is shy at first, but very friendly after you give her a slice of cheese. She is almost 2 y.o. and is such a Miss Beauty Pageant with her "3Bs"; Beauty, Brain and Behavior.

She is adorable. My husband said, she is his little princess. Her white longhair, pink nose and slim shape represent the beauty of every beauty queen can be. And I am not kidding about the brain! She is the smartest cat I've ever known. She will come when you call her and understand commands i.e. sit or stay. She can open the cage door (we put her in a cage before cleaning up the room), even if it is already tied with raffia! Don't ask about her behavior, she is active, neat and has a really good temper.

Vegetable Soup

My favorite kind of soup, especially when it's rainy and chill. Pound and saute onion, garlic, pepper, sugar and salt. Pour in water and chicken broth, wait until it is boiled. Then put chicken and/or sausage slices and vegetables such as potatoes, carrots, green/snap beans, cabbages, sleek and parsley. Yum!

Remembering My Granny

Tempe Mendoan is remembering me of my late Grandma. I used to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr (and spend days before) at her house in Central Java. Almost every morning, Tempe Mendoan and Serabi (rice flour pancake) were served there. Eventhough I was not her most beloved grandchild, I miss those days we spent together.

Saw show unit of this two-story house last year and the layout was as perfect as I and Hubby dreamed of. It was a comfort, roomy and elegant design, and the best part of it was the mezzanine (floor between 1st and 2nd floor).

Tempe Mendoan

I made Tempe Mendoan today, my favorite kind of fried (fermented) soybean patty. You can find this soybean patty at the nearest (traditional) market and ask the seller to cut it into very thin slices.

Then mix and stir seasoned flour (I prefer MamaSuka which is tastier and can be found here), minced leeks and water. Put every single soybean patty slice to the mixture (make sure both sides are covered with it) and deep fry in just a minute or two so it won't get crispy. Serve it with spicy soy sauce.

Hi! I am writing again!! Well, I read great blogs written by Indonesian women several days ago, each had only 3-10 lines, very simple but amazing. I wished to have one too to keep the journey of my life. Then I wonder the existence of my very first blog in Blogger. So, I typed the URL liebefine dot blogspot dot com (before i moved the content here) and tadda... all 109 posts of mine were still complete and readable, eventhough the site's template/layout was a mess. It was written in 2003-2004, when I was an undergraduate student, and was such a strange feeling reading my own story, my own life years back... shocking yet hilarious, some even have forgotten. The latest post was on my 21st birthday, and I said :

If you ask me how it's like to be 21...

Well, it's awesome!
